JAR JUNIOR CYCLING PROGRAM n
From January 21st, to February 25th, 2006
The JAR Junior Cycling Program got on the way on Saturday 21 st January, 2006 at 3:00pm .
About twenty juniors registered for the program ranging from ages 7 to 17 years old.
During this particular meet the participants were taught better bike handling skills by Mr. Baron (Turbo) Musgroove, a great cyclist with longevity and vast knowledge of the sport. He will be the main lecturer/coach for this program.
Some of the objectives for this year's program are to teach discipline in the sport of cycling, better handling skills of the equipment, healthy eating habits, the benefits of stretching before and after cycling, to increase knowledge and to generally enhance the cycling skills of every individual who participates. At the end of the program certificates and trophies will be given to the participants and winners.
Meetings will take place every Saturday at 3:00 pm – 4:30pm at the Cycling Track at the Queen Elizabeth. The program will run for 6 weeks ending Saturday February 25 th , 2006 . Interested persons should register no later than Saturday January 28 th , 2006 at 3:00pm in order to effectively benefit from the program.
